It is tempting to get caught up in “doing everything right” but perhaps the most important thing we can do for our child is to see the person she is with all the beautiful flaws, potential and possibilities. Take time to see the world around you in all its newness through her eyes. Live in the present moment, however hard it seems to be, and do your best to enjoy it, because it’ll be gone before you know it.
